School of Histotechnology
Conemaugh School of Histotechnology is a two-year Associate Degree program in conjunction with Pennsylvania Highlands Community College.
Students complete the first year at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and obtain a core group of courses. Students then apply to the Conemaugh School of Histotechnology. If accepted, education will continue in the Conemaugh School of Histotechnology at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
Upon successful completion of the two-year program the graduate receives a certificate of completion from the Conemaugh School of Histotechnology and an Associate Degree from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. The graduate will be eligible to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification Examination.

Conemaugh Health System is required by U.S. Department of Education regulations to provide its students and prospective students with contact information for any relevant state official or agency that would appropriately handle a student’s complaint about Conemaugh’s education programs. Students are encouraged to utilize Conemaugh’s internal complaint policies and procedures prior to filing a complaint with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If a concern cannot be addressed through internal processes, students or prospective students may file a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection (16th Floor, Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120).
