Why I chose pharmacy: I enjoy understanding how medications work in the body and using this information to tailor regimens to specific patient situations. I like the challenge of needing to account for both patient characteristics and medication effects in order to ensure safety.

Why I choose Conemaugh: I like the feel of a smaller town while still having access to a hospital with a wide range of learning opportunities. Conemaugh being a level 1 trauma center with many clinical pharmacists in different specialties allows for multiple areas of growth.

Favorite Clinical Specialty: So far, my favorite specialty has been emergency medicine. I enjoy the fast pace, hectic environment. I also have interest in the ICU setting because medication management tends to be more complex, and you get to see certain things you wouldn’t normally see.

Hobbies: Building Lego sets, watching good tv series, and being around animals
