Medical Student Rotations
Thank you for your interest in Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Scheduling a rotation is a great way to learn more about the program and our expectations.
Students plan rotations in the fourth year of medical school to audition for programs of interest. Many of our residents that match at our program have rotated at our facility, and we encourage all interested medical students to consider a rotation to experience our program and its benefits to see if our program is a good fit for you.
On April 21, 2016 the program was granted initial accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). In 2018, we received continued accreditation. To maintain a dynamic residency, the program will maintain a strong presence of osteopathic trained students in addition to those students from allopathic institutions. We are happy to review your request for a rotation, and strive to gain your interest as an ACGME program.
Medical Students interested in completing an audition rotation at our facility should complete an application.
Requirements:

Effective 2024, we are able to schedule medical student rotations for those US medical students from a LIMITED number of Caribbean International medical schools. Students must be a U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident. We do consider all residency applications of both US and international medical graduates in the match itself.
A Program Letter of Agreement is also necessary prior to the rotation. If one is not on file with the hospital, allow three months.
Please email dmachak@conemaugh.org with any questions or concerns.
We will review 3rd year elective rotation requests for clinical campus students only on a case by case basis.
Please email Tracy Yoder, tyoder@conemaugh.org Medical Student Coordinator with any questions concerning the background checks.
