Biography:  Dr. Johnston’s hometown is Arlington, Massachusetts (“birthplace of Uncle Sam”) where she developed a love of colonial history and the Boston Bruins. She completed her residency in Johnstown at CONEMAUGH in 1997 and subsequently practiced in rural Bedford County for 9 years before returning home to Memorial Medical Center as a faculty member in 2006. She and her husband (a CONEMAUGH Internal Medicine classmate) have raised two young men who continue to keep them on their toes and optimistic about the future.

Professional Interests:  Varied, but includes lifespan development, medical humanities.

Hobbies: Music and playing the piano, rehabbing her 100 year old home, gardening, and traveling.
