• Therapeutic Phlebotomy is a treatment for blood disorders in which red blood cells or serum iron is removed. It is the most efficient method for managing the symptoms and complications.
• Therapeutic Apheresis is an extracorporeal treatment that selectively removes cells or other targeted abnormal substances from circulation. It can used in treating conditions in which a pathogenic substance or component in the blood is causing morbidity.
• Sweat Chloride Testing It is used to screen for cystic fibrosis. It is a sweat test that measures the concentration of chloride that is excreted in sweat. The concentration of chloride in sweat is higher in individuals with CF because of defective chloride channels.
