Conemaugh Physician Group – Cardiology is excited to announce the addition of Howard Brumberg, MD, FACC, to its team of distinguished cardiovascular specialists. With over a decade of experience in noninvasive cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac imaging, Dr. Brumberg strengthens Conemaugh Health System's commitment to delivering exceptional, comprehensive heart care to the region.
Dr. Brumberg earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Brumberg is board-certified in both cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, bringing expertise in cardiac imaging, heart failure management, and valvular heart disease.
Before joining Conemaugh, Dr. Brumberg practiced at Independence Health System (formerly Excela Health), where he served as the ICAEL Medical Director for the Frick Hospital Echocardiography Lab and the ICANL Medical Director for the Frick Hospital Nuclear Cardiology Lab. His skill set includes transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress testing, and advanced imaging techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of structural heart disease.
Dr. Brumberg specializes in the treatment of heart attack and heart failure, arrhythmias and irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity. His addition to the team further enhances Conemaugh Physician Group’s ability to provide state-of-the-art cardiovascular care to the community.
