Conemaugh Physician Group – Obstetrics and Gynecology is delighted to welcome Ioanna Kanellitsas, MD, FACOG.
Dr. Kanellitsas is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor before earning her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University. She attended the Medical College of Ohio where she received her Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
She began her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of California – UCLA Oliveview as a post-graduate preliminary resident before transitioning to Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and then to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Colombus, Ohio.
Her unique education and extensive experience provide remarkable perspectives on women’s health. Her experience in general obstetrics and gynecology practices in hospital-based and private-practice settings, as well as maternity and emergency coverage.
Dr. Kanellitsas specializes in annual checkups, problem visits, disease management, gynecological care, obstetrical care, cervical and vaginal colposcopies, endometrial biopsy, birth control management, and intrauterine insemination.
Dr. Kanellitsas is now accepting new patients at Conemaugh East Hills Outpatient Center.
