Conemaugh Nason Medical Center welcomes Tammy Schreiber, MSN, FNP-C, CRNP, CHFN, PCCN-R

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is pleased to welcome Tammy Schreiber, MSN, FNP-C, CRNP, CHFN, PCCN-R, to their cardiac unit.
Schreiber is a 2004 graduate of the Conemaugh School of Nursing Program. She continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Upon graduation, Schreiber attended Carlow University where she received her Master of Science in nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Serving as a staff nurse, Schreiber began her 17-year career at Conemaugh Health System in the oncology and cardiac units of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She managed patients with various cancer diagnosis along with direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and management of chemotherapy. As a family nurse practitioner, she medically managed chronic and acute disease processes in pediatrics, women’s health, adult, and geriatric units. She found her passion for cardiology and, after a short stint away from Conemaugh Health System, returns to provide cardiac care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings to the Roaring Springs area.
"I strongly believe in Conemaugh’s heart program,” said Schreiber, a certified heart failure nurse. “I look forward to growing it and developing a higher standard of cardiac care.”
Schreiber is a member of the Heart Failure Nurses Association and Critical Care Nurses Association. Earning other awards and serving on numerous committees throughout her medical career, Schreiber was most recently inducted into the American Heart Association Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2023.
Outside the hospital, Schreiber enjoys being a grandmother and spending time with her husband. She is the owner of two horses and enjoys going horseback riding.
