Conemaugh Health System's Outpatient Pain Management Program offers innovative outpatient therapies to patients suffering from ongoing pain caused by illness, injury, or chronic conditions, including:

Treatment Methods

Conemaugh Health System’s unique approach may include one or more of the following treatment methods:

Medical and/or Surgical Therapy, including nerve blocks, trigger injections at the pain site, botox injections to relax muscles and reduce pain
Minimal interventional procedures including epidural steroid injections and nerve blocks
Trial spinal cord stimulators
Botox injections
EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies
Radiofrequency Neurotomy to prevent spinal nerves transmitting pain signals to brain
Physician supervised medical management
Referral to Physical and Occupational Therapies
Lifestyle modifications

Substance Abuse

Adequate pain management can be a challenge, especially during times of opioid crisis. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is an active member of the Cambria County Drug Coalition, which provides education to healthcare providers on opioids, non-pharmacolgical pain options, and assistance for patients with a substance abuse concern.
