A neuropsychological exam is performed to clarify diagnosis and to provide necessary treatment recommendations. Results can identify patterns of disability that may require further medical management, or can be used to monitor progress after a brain injury or other neurological disorder.

Diagnosis
The evaluation is a non-invasive procedure. There is no pain and no needles. The evaluation typically takes several hours to complete and is tailored to each individual. Sometimes due to the length of the evaluation, it may be scheduled in a series of appointments. Most evaluation tasks are done while the patient sits at a table.
