Conemaugh Miners Medical Center is an official site for the federal Black Lung Screening. Screenings for coal worker's pneumoconiosis (black lung disease) include:

  • Blood tests to determine if the disease is present and its severity
  • Occupational history
  • Chest x-ray
  • Lung function tests

This screening is available to present and former coal workers who are disabled as a result of their employment in the coal mining industry.
