Visitor Information

Family members and visitors are welcome to visit with their loved one in the Intensive Care Unit or Coronary Care Unit. To ensure the safety and privacy of patients, family members, and visitors are asked to abide by the following guidelines.

Visiting Hours

10 am. - 6:30 pm, daily
8 - 9 pm, daily

To ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff, 6 Ashman and 6 Rose have a security door policy for evening hours. Between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am daily, visitors should go straight through waiting area to signs which will direct them to the entrances for both units. Visitors must ring doorbell to gain access to each nursing unit. Staff badges will work for access throughout the evening. In the event of a security risk the unit will go on lockdown and visitors will need to utilize the doorbell for access.

Visitor Guidelines

  • Visitor Lounge is located on the sixth floor of the Ashman-Rose Pavilion, between the Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit.
  • For safety reasons, children under age 13 are not permitted to visit but can stay in the waiting room if supervised.
  • To ensure safety of patients, please do not visit if experiencing a cough, fever, runny nose, or rash.
  • Please refrain from touching equipment in patient's room, and do not sit on counters or floors.
  • Visitors are asked to limit cell phones, pager, or electronic device use in patient rooms.

Contact Person(s)

Each patient's family is asked to designate one or two family members to serve as the primary contact person for updates. The family contact person can then relay information to other family and friends, allowing staff time to focus on care for the patient.

To allow staff adequate time for communicating patient care updates during shift changes, contact persons are asked to refrain from calling the units between the hours of 6:30 - 8 am and 6:30 - 8 pm.

Spiritual Care staff and volunteers are available to support families and provide spiritual care for critically ill patients.
