Conemaugh Physician Group - Plastic Surgery Hosts Skin Screening Event for CHS Employees

Conemaugh Physician Group - Plastic Surgery proudly hosted a complimentary skin screening event for the employees of Conemaugh Health System on Wednesday, May 22, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, this event emphasized the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer among healthcare workers.
The event was led by a dedicated team of providers, including Paul Rollins, MD, Kamran Shayesteh, DO, and Corrin Fesko, CRNP, CANS. These professionals generously volunteered their time and expertise, underscoring Conemaugh's commitment to the health and wellness of its staff. During the event, numerous employees took advantage of the opportunity to receive thorough skin examinations and personalized advice on skin care and cancer prevention.
“Regular skin screenings can save lives by detecting cancer early, and we are committed to providing our team with the resources they need to stay healthy,” said Dr. Rollins. “We will continue to help raise awareness about the prevalence of skin cancer and prevention techniques.”
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, and early detection is critical to effective treatment. With May designated as Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Conemaugh Health System aims to raise awareness and educate individuals about the importance of regular skin checks.
In doing so, Conemaugh Health System is hosting a Skin Cancer Prevention event on Wednesday, May 29 at 12:15 pm at Conemaugh East Hills Outpatient Center. Bring a lunch with you and come learn about skin cancer types, prevention methods, and treatment options. No RSVP necessary.
