Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Announces Three Promotions in Cardiovascular & Neuroscience Services

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has announced three promotions in leadership of Cardiovascular & Neuroscience Services beginning immediately.
Stephanie Jones, MSN, RN, will serve as Director of Cardiovascular Services. Jones will oversee all aspects of the Cardiovascular Service Line while ensuring the highest levels of patient care and quality. Managing a range of inpatient and outpatient cardiac services, Jones will oversee the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Labs, cardiac diagnostic testing, cardiac rehabilitation, and vascular services. Additionally, she will work closely with hospital leadership to develop and drive strategic initiatives to enhance the care and services offered to cardiovascular patients. A 21-year veteran at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Jones has spent 19 years of her career in Cardiovascular Services and assisted in achieving and promoting accreditations from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as a center for Chest Pain with Primary PCI and Heart Failure at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
A Johnstown native and Bishop McCort Catholic High School alumnus, Jones graduated from the Conemaugh School of Nursing in 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in leadership from Grand Canyon University. Jones is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at St. Francis.
Pamela Watt, BSN, RN, will serve as Registry and Outcomes Manager of Cardiovascular Services. Watt will work closely with Jones to identify opportunities to improve the quality and safety of cardiovascular patient care and regularly report outcomes to the ACC’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR).
An Indiana County native, Watt began her career at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after graduating from the Conemaugh School of Nursing. In 2000, she joined Indiana Regional Medical Center, where she served as Manager of Cardiac Services for 16 years. She returned to Conemaugh Memorial in 2016 as Manager of the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Labs. Watt has been an associate member of the ACC since 2006 and previously served as American Heart Association Vice President and Heart Walk Chair in Indiana County.
Wendy Kalmanir, RN-BC, will serve as the Stroke Coordinator within Neuroscience Services. Kalmanir will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other health care professionals to facilitate compliance with all stroke quality measures and regulatory requirements for Joint Commission Stroke Certification. She has been actively involved in successful Joint Commission Stroke reaccreditations since 2012.
A 31-year veteran at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Kalmanir began her career as a clinical assistant and worked on the medical/surgical unit for 16 years. Since 2007, she has supported the hospital’s Neuroscience Service Line in both neurology and in pain management, which she became certified for in 2017. An Elton resident, Kalmanir is a graduate of Forest Hills High School and the Conemaugh School of Nursing. In 2001, Kalmanir was named “Simply the Best Nurse” by readers of the Tribune Democrat.
