Hand Therapy

Conemaugh Rehabilitation's hand therapy program focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation of the hand, arm, elbow, and shoulder diagnoses. Therapy is typically covered by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Most managed care health plans require pre-authorization prior to treatment. A prescription is needed from the patient's primary care physician.

During the patient's initial evaluation, a rehabilitation therapist will thoroughly assess specific injury and / or symptoms to develop a customized treatment program with the goal to return the patient to the highest level of participation in home, work, and leisure activities.
