Adult Inpatient Treatment
Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Adult Psychiatry Inpatient program includes a 29-bed unit dedicated to provide and care for individuals ages 18-59 experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms. These symptoms may pose a threat of harm to self or others and inhibit normal daily living activities including depression, anxiety, suicidal / homicidal thoughts, and severe mood swings.
Treatment Team
Conemaugh Health System's Behavioral Health treatment team consists of board certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners / physician assistants, psychologists, nurses, social workers, recreational and occupational therapists, and additional healthcare specialists. The multi-disciplinary staff emphasizes a family-oriented approach and care-givers are encouraged to be active participants in the treatment team throughout a patient’s stay.

Admission Criteria
- 18 years of age or older
- Primary psychiatric diagnosis
- Adult inpatient treatment and will be admitted to a psychiatrist
- Able to participate in unit activities and will benefit from a therapeutic setting and treatment program
